iOS 27.2 Brings Four-Stream Multiview for Live Sports to iPhone
iOS 27.2 adds Multiview to the Apple TV app on iPhone, letting you watch up to four live sports streams at once, including multiple F1 camera feeds.

Apple’s iOS 27.2 update, released this week, brings Multiview to the Apple TV app on iPhone. The feature lets you watch up to four live sports streams at the same time on one screen. Until now, it was limited to Apple TV, iPad and Vision Pro.
What Multiview does
Multiview works with the sports events that are included in an Apple TV subscription. That lineup currently includes Formula 1, Major League Soccer (MLS) and Major League Baseball (MLB). Instead of switching between games, you can put several on screen together and keep an eye on all of them.
The way it works varies a little from one sport to another. With F1, you can pick a preset team setup or build your own custom layout. A custom layout can include driver-view cameras, course maps and more.
How to turn it on
- Update your iPhone to iOS 27.2.
- Open the Apple TV app and start watching a live sports event.
- Tap the new Multiview button at the bottom of the player.
From there, you choose the streams you want to see.
How it feels on a smaller screen
The writer at 9to5Mac tested it on an iPhone 18 Pro and expected the smaller display to limit how many streams would fit. That turned out not to be the case. They set up four F1 streams from the Austin Grand Prix and could see all four at once.
The same writer thinks the feature will be especially good on the iPhone Duo, since its large unfolded display should give four video feeds more room. That is an expectation, not a tested result, so treat it as a guess until you try it yourself.
What it means for you
If you already pay for Apple TV, Multiview is a free addition after the update. It is most useful for fans who follow several games or cameras at once, such as an F1 race weekend, where driver views and course maps add context. If you do not follow live sports, it will not change much for you.
Apple TV costs $14.99 per month. It can also be had at a discount through the Apple One bundle.
What is still unknown
The source does not say how many sports beyond the current lineup will get Multiview support, or how each sport will handle layouts. It does say that more sports in the Apple TV app would make the feature even better. For now, update to iOS 27.2, open a live event and look for the Multiview button.
