Motorola has announced two wearables alongside its Signature 27 flagship phone. The Moto Watch 2 Fit is the first watch in its Fit line with fitness insights from Polar, and it starts at €119. The Moto Buds 2 Ultra, priced at €199, carry Bose sound tuning and noise cancellation and now sit above the Moto Buds 2 Plus as Motorola’s top earbuds.

According to GSMArena, both products will reach select countries in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, North America and Asia-Pacific in the coming weeks. 9to5Google reported different names for the North American versions, the Moto Watch Fit 27 and Moto Buds Ultra 27, and said Motorola had not given a U.S. price or release date. That outlet expects a North American release in the coming months.

Polar features on a budget watch

The watch has a 1.85-inch OLED screen at 390×450 resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate, up to 1,500 nits of brightness, 2mm bezels and Gorilla Glass 3. It runs RTOS, a lightweight operating system, so it does not use Google’s Wear OS. The aluminum body measures 42.88×38.65×9.95mm, weighs 28.1g and is rated IP68 and 5ATM for dust and water.

Polar supplies several of its own tools. Running Index scores aerobic fitness and running efficiency, Nightly Recharge looks at overnight recovery, and Sleep Plus Stages breaks down sleep. The watch also gets Serene breathing exercises, Smart Calories, Energy Sources and Activity Intensity Zones.

Motorola adds its own heart rate, SpO2 (blood oxygen) and stress tracking. Menstrual cycle tracking appears on a Moto watch for the first time. The watch detects more than 100 workout types automatically and has dual-frequency L1/L5 GPS, which uses two satellite signals for better location accuracy. You can take calls on the wrist over Bluetooth 5.4. Support for Motorola Qira, the company’s AI assistant, is due in the coming months.

Battery life for the watch

Motorola rates the 400 mAh battery at up to 7 days with the always-on display turned on, 12 days with it off and 16 days in low power mode. A 10-minute charge gives up to 24 hours of use. By comparison, 9to5Google noted that Wear OS watches typically last a day or two.

Bose sound and creator microphones in the Buds 2 Ultra

Each earbud pairs an 11mm dynamic driver with a Knowles balanced armature, a second small speaker that handles detail. Bose handles the tuning (SoundDesign) and the active noise cancellation (QuietControl), and a transparency mode lets outside sound in. The buds support Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos, plus Dolby Head Tracking when used with compatible Motorola phones. Codecs include SBC, AAC, LHDC 4 and LHDC 5 over Bluetooth 6.0.

GSMArena reports three microphones and a voice pickup unit in each bud. Motorola is marketing them to podcasters and content creators.

Battery life is rated at up to 8 hours per charge. Reports differ on the case: GSMArena lists 37 hours in total, while 9to5Google says the case adds another 37 hours. Motorola did not say whether its figures assume noise cancellation is on. A 10-minute charge adds up to 3 hours of playback, and the case charges wirelessly over Qi2. Buds and case are rated IP57.

Other features include AI Live Translate, head gestures to answer or decline calls, connection to two devices at once, Audio Share and Google’s Find Hub for locating lost buds. A long press on the left bud opens Motorola Qira, and a “Hey Qira” wake word is planned for the coming months.

What it means for buyers

The watch targets people who want health and fitness tracking with long battery life instead of a full smartwatch app store. The earbuds are aimed at buyers who would otherwise consider Bose-tuned or creator-focused models, at €199.

U.S. shoppers will have to wait. With no American price announced, the €119 and €199 figures apply to Europe for now. The watch comes in Pantone Tracing Gray and Pantone Elegance cases with Pantone Stratified Sea, Pantone Pigeon and Pantone Ballerina straps. The buds come in Pantone Temple Gray and Pantone Reflecting Pond.
