Apple Watch Ultra 4 and Pixel Watch 5 Both Hit Record Lows on Amazon
Early holiday sales have pushed the Apple Watch Ultra 4 down to $699.99 and the Pixel Watch 5 as low as $299.99 at Amazon. Here is what to know before buying.
Two of the year’s newest smartwatches are cheaper than they have ever been. Amazon has cut the Apple Watch Ultra 4 to $699.99, down from $799.00, and the Google Pixel Watch 5 has returned to its lowest price yet, starting at $299.99 for the smallest model. Black Friday is still weeks away, but retailers are clearly starting the holiday discounting early.
Apple Watch Ultra 4: $99 off
The Apple Watch Ultra 4 only launched in September, so a record-low price this soon is a notable change. The $699.99 price matches the lowest the new model has been sold for, according to MacRumors. That is $99 below the usual $799.00.
If you prefer a metal band, Amazon is also taking $99 off the Black Apple Watch Ultra 4 with the Black Milanese Loop in size Large. It costs $799.99 instead of $899.00. Most of these watches are listed with an estimated delivery date in early November, though some are available with same-day shipping for Prime members.
Pixel Watch 5: every size and connection type is cheaper
The Google Pixel Watch 5 has matched its all-time low on Amazon, as reported by 9to5Google. Every version gets the same cut:
- 41mm, Wi-Fi: $299.99, down from $399.99
- 45mm, Wi-Fi: $329.99, down from $429.99
- 41mm, LTE (cellular): $399.99, down from $499.99
- 45mm, LTE (cellular): $429.99, down from $529.99
Unlike many early sales, which apply only to certain colors, this one covers all the standard finishes: Obsidian, Porcelain and Hazel in both sizes, plus Rose Quartz on the 41mm model. The same prices are also available at Best Buy, so you can choose whichever store you prefer.
Why this matters for shoppers
Smartwatches are among the pricier gadgets people buy for themselves or as gifts, and new models rarely get cheaper so quickly. Paying less for either watch is a real saving, and both prices are described as matching the lowest ever seen, not just a small dip.
It also helps to know what the extra money buys. An LTE model lets you make calls, stream or use apps without your phone nearby, which can be handy for running errands or workouts. If you always carry your phone, the Wi-Fi version is the cheaper way in. Just remember that cellular watches normally need a mobile plan from your carrier, which adds a monthly cost that is not part of these prices.
The two watches also work best with different phones. The Apple Watch pairs with an iPhone, while the Pixel Watch runs Wear OS and suits Android phones, particularly Google’s own. Pick the watch that matches the phone you already own.
Other Google deals in the mix
The same wave of discounts reaches Google’s phones. The Pixel 11 is listed at $699 and the Pixel 11 Pro at $799 in this early sale. A 9to5Google report also mentions a replica pocket charger for the watch, a keychain-style USB-C adapter, at $12.79 with a 20% coupon. It is an imitation accessory, so check the seller and reviews before ordering.
What to do next
If you were planning to buy either watch this year, there is little reason to wait for Black Friday, since these prices already match the historical lows. Keep in mind that deals can end or sell out without notice, and delivery times for the Apple Watch Ultra 4 are already pointing to early November. Whether prices fall further closer to the holiday shopping peak is unknown, and neither report promises a lower price later.
Before you buy, confirm the size, band and connection type in your cart, because the discounts differ by configuration. Also compare the listing with Best Buy where it applies, and check the return window in case the fit is not right on your wrist.
